Mom's Peanutty Pops

Childhood favorites. Rich and peanut-buttery pops great for a hot day.

Ingredients

  • 1 envelope unflavored gelatin
  • ½ c sugar
  • c dry milk powder optional
  • 1 c boiling water
  • 4 tbsp chocolate milk powder
  • 1 c milk (I used half-and-half)
  • 1 c peanut butter

Instructions

  • In medium bowl, mix unflavored gelatin and sugar;
  • Add boiling water and stir until gelatin is completely dissolved.
  • With wire whip or immersion blender, blend in peanut butter;
  • Stir in prepared chocolate milk.
  • Pour into 5-ounce paper cups and place in freezer until partially frozen.
  • Insert popsicle sticks and freeze until firm.

Notes

Makes 6 5oz pops. Variations: stir in small semi-sweet chocolate chips, chopped banana or mini-marshmallows just before inserting stick.
